    To launch this year’s Esprit/RCA Limited Edition Eco Collection, I began my presentation to the students with the story of Apollo 8 because it captured the prevailing atmosphere of the time.
    The story of Esprit’s journey is exciting: from where it started, how it lost its way, how it is now returning to and rediscovering its origins, and to where it is now. Everything has its time - and it is Esprit’s time again. With Susie, Colin, his team, and the RCA students, they now have a cross generational, interactive relationship which brings a unique perspective to the brand.

    For the students, it is a rare opportunity to explore an idea that was concei-ved from a passion, rather than a “look.“ The students are coming up with original and innovative concepts, their vision for the future.

    Big companies often drive top-down strategies. Esprit, through its involvement with the students, can tap into the zeitgeist and create clothes that have a relevance for this generation.

To collaborate with a brand on this level and  see their designs retail in the stores in this context is particularly exciting. 

    Also, Colin has been working with us for many years in different ways. It is great  to see his support and being able to create such a valuable exchange.
